The non-communicable diseases service operates 9 hours per day, five days per week.It deals with non-communicable diseases by assessing, prescription of medication and other specific acts follow up and educates the patients on their conditions and if necessary transfer the patient to the Doctor

Service delivered at RUTONGO DH NCDs department

• Reception, admission, orientation and patient registration;
• Patient Education session on behaviour change regarding to diseases prevention; patient right and responsibilities;
• Re-evaluation and Follow-up of Patients with NCDs (Non Communicable Diseases) through appointment given 
• Consultation of  patients;
• Laboratory order for illness investigation;
• Radiology order for illness investigation;
• Drugs order after analysis of Lab results ;
• Transfer to IPD (In Patient Department) if necessary;
• Transfer to referral hospitals for more investigation;
• Nutrition education
• Physical exercise education
